Why we built Shedle
As freelancers ourselves, we spent years trying every scheduling and task management tool out there. Motion was powerful but expensive at $19/month and overwhelming with features we never used. Reclaim was good but still complex. Google Calendar alone wasn't cutting it for managing multiple clients with different priorities and deadlines.
We wanted something in between: intelligent enough to auto-schedule our tasksusing a real algorithm that understands priorities, deadlines, and client importance—but simple enough to set up in 2 minutes. And we wanted it at a price that didn't make us wince every month.
So we built Shedle.
At its heart is a pure-function scheduling algorithm that scores tasks using 5 weighted factors: due date pressure, priority weight, time slack, client importance, and stability bonus. It's not just a to-do list—it's actual optimization that continuously reschedules as your priorities change.
